Mongoose is a small, feature packed inertial measurement platform. It combines the ADXL345 triple axis accelerometer, ITG-3200 triple axis gyroscope, HMC5883L triple axis magnetometer, and BMP085 barometric pressure sensor in a small form factor PCB. The data from the sensors are processed by an onboard Atmega328P which is preloaded with the Arduino bootloader and is output over the serial port to your external micro or PC.
We've also taken the ARHS firmware written by Jordi Munoz and updated it to support the new gyro, magnetometer and the addition of the barometric pressure sensor. We've also written a Windows GUI for showing all the sensor data as well as attitude and heading in real time.
Mongoose has applications in autopilots, UAVs and navigation systems as well as image stabilization or any other devices that needs to know its attitude heading or altitude.
Mongoose can be programmed with our FTDI Pro
